Sell your boat through a live offer event.
Ten days. Real offers. Then you know.
Selling through Accepta means listing with a dealer you trust, setting a minimum you control, and letting qualified buyers compete in a ten-day window — instead of fielding lowball texts for six months. Consignment runs 7% instead of the traditional 10%, with no long-term contract.
How it works.
- 1
Submit your boat for consideration.
No obligation. Give us the basics and a few recent photos, and the dealer's team will review it and get back to you with any questions.
- Required:
- Hull ID
- Recent photos, inside and out
- Year, make, model, engines, and hours
- 2
Evaluation and market analysis.
The dealer looks at condition, recent comparable sales, and demand for the model to recommend an event strategy and a realistic minimum.
- The evaluation includes:
- Condition assessment
- Recent market comparisons
- A recommended minimum and event window
- 3
Set your minimum and sign the event agreement.
The minimum is your floor — no sale happens below it. The agreement covers one ten-day event, not a six-month exclusive. If the minimum isn't met, you walk away owing nothing.
- Key steps:
- Set your minimum
- Sign the single-event agreement
- Choose an event window
- 4
Certification and marketing.
The boat gets a standardized inspection, a water test, a full photo and video set, and its own listing on Accepta with a public Q&A. The dealer promotes the event to its buyer list, on social, and on the site.
- What's included:
- Inspection and water test
- Photo and video package
- Featured listing and email campaign
- 5
Event day and closing.
Qualified buyers compete in the window. If the leading offer meets your minimum, the sale confirms. The dealer handles closing, title, and delivery. You're paid within 14 days of closing.
- Final steps:
- Offer window
- Acceptance
- Closing, payment, and delivery
Why sell this way.
- A real answer in two weeks. Not a listing that sits. Not “we're getting interest.” A number, or a no.
- 7% instead of 10%. The event replaces months of showings, so the commission is lower. No buyer premium on consignment boats, so the price offered is the price paid.
- No long-term contract. One event. If it doesn't sell, you're free.
- Your minimum, your control. Nothing sells below your number. The dealer sees every offer and any conditions before accepting.
- Dealer-backed. Inspected, documented, marketed, and closed through Monahan's Marine — on the South Shore since 1961.
